Back to the Future 3 (1990) movie description: After the lightning storm on November 12, 1955, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd awakes back at his family mansion with TV playing Hoody Doody, not quite sure how he got home. Doc swears that he may have seen a vision of Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) afterwards saying he had ‘come back from the future,’ but thinks he may have been hallucinating. This turns out to be a reality, when Marty appears, scaring Doc. Marty explains that he came back to 1955 in regards to recovering the sports almanac from Biff to save the future. Marty then explains how the 1985 Doc was in the DeLorean and got struck by lightning, sending him back to 1885. Doc questions how Marty would know this, when Marty reveals the 70-year-old Western Union letter that was sent to Marty. Doc reads over the letter, and finds out that the DeLorean is in an abandoned mine, with instructions for replacement parts for the 1955 Doc to help repair the time machine.

Back to the Future 2 (1989) movie description: The movie opens where Back to the Future left off: October 26, 1985. Marty (Michael J. Fox) opens the garage door and sees his 4X4, the one he longed for in Back to the Future. Jennifer (Elisabeth Shue) asks for a ride. Marty tells her that she is a sight for sore eyes, and wants to look at her. She says that he’s acting like he hasn’t seen her for a week. She asks if he’s OK. When he sees his mom and dad, he says yeah. Suddenly Doc (Christopher Lloyd) appears in the DeLorean and smashes into one of the trash cans. He tells Marty that he has to come back with him. Marty sees his strange goggles and asks, “Where?” Doc says, “Back to the future!” Doc opens one of the trash cans, and then grabs some banana peels and a discarded beer can. Marty asks him what he’s doing, and Doc says he needs fuel. He opens the attached Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor, and puts the banana peels in, topping it off with the beer. Doc tells Marty to get in the car, but Marty protests, saying he just got here, and Jennifer and he are going to take the new truck for a spin. Doc tells Marty that they’ll take her along, because this concerns her too. Marty wonders what happens to them in the future, Doc replies that they come out fine, but that something has to be done about their kids.
